Estimator / Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary
The Estimator / Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for reviewing construction documents, preparing accurate bids and proposals, and supporting customers through the sales and ordering process. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, manufacturers, and internal teams, ensuring projects and orders are handled accurately and efficiently from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Project Support
- Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to prepare accurate estimates and proposals
- Perform pre-proposal tasks such as on-site measurements and basic drawings or designs
- Develop proposals based on material and equipment requirements
- Coordinate and manage project documentation
- Review estimates and project requirements with internal teams
- Collaborate with multiple departments to support ongoing projects
Inside Sales & Customer Service
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability
- Process customer orders via phone and email
- Quote pricing, confirm specifications, and enter sales data accurately
- Check stock availability and shipping timelines
- Coordinate with manufacturers to source products and resolve order issues
- Support the outside sales team by preparing quotes and sourcing materials
Relationship Management & General Duties
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive relationships with customers and business partners
- Communicate with prospective and existing clients to understand needs and provide solutions
- Manage customer service responsibilities for assigned accounts
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner
- Support general business operations as needed and perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer-focused mindset with strong sales and service abilities
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Prior experience in inside sales, customer service, estimating, or construction-related roles preferred
- Technical aptitude with proficiency in software such as Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with AutoCAD or design software is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Quick learner, adaptable to new software and manufacturer ordering systems
