🚨Attention all pump enthusiasts! Let's talk about the Grundfos UP/UPS series and the Magna3 series. Did you know that these pumps are wet rotor style circulators, meaning the pumped liquid is utilized for cooling and lubrication? 💦 But here's the catch, the motor shaft must be installed horizontally for optimal performance. Installing it vertically can lead to air build up and limited cooling and lubrication, resulting in potential failure. 😱 And that's not all, if the pump is installed with the motor below the pipe, debris and sediment can block the necessary path for cooling and lubrication. 💪 So remember, always install the UP/UPS series with the electrical terminal box on the side and the conduit facing down to prevent water damage. And for the Magna3 series, make sure those cooling fins are in a vertical orientation for maximum efficiency. 🌟 Stay informed, stay professional. #GrundfosPumps #TechTip #Magna3Series #UPSeries #UPSSeries ... "🚨 Pump installation tip alert! 💡 Did you know that the Grundfos UP/UPS and Magna3 series pumps are wet rotor style circulators? That's right, the pumped liquid actually provides cooling and lubrication for the moving parts of the pump. But here's the catch - the motor shaft should always be installed horizontally or parallel to the ground. Installing it vertically can lead to air buildup, limiting the cooling and lubrication of the moving parts and causing premature failure. 🙅‍♀️ And if you install the pump with the shaft vertical and the motor below the pipe, you run the risk of debris and sediment blocking the path of the liquid. 🚫 But wait, there's more! ⚠️ For the UP/UPS series, make sure to install the electrical terminal box on the side of the pump and the conduit entry facing down. This prevents water from contacting the electrical connections in case of a leak. And for the Magna3 series, keep those cooling fins in a vertical orientation by installing the control head with the Grundfos logo facing upright. 💪 Remember, proper pump installation is key for optimal performance and longevity. 🔧 Trust us, we're the professionals. 😉 #Grundfos #Magna3 #up #ups #TechTip ...
