Sloan Flushometers

Match the Right Flushometers to Fixtures

Your customers my be tempted to go “green” by installing low-consumption flush valves on older fixtures designed for greater water useage. However, Sloan does not recommend this approach. It’s important to match the toilet or urinal designed for specific flush volumes with the associated flush valve.

What happens when flush valves are improperly matched with fixtures?
Here are a few examples:

  • IF you install a 1.6 gpf (6.0 Lpf) flushometer on a 3.5 gpf (13.2 Lpf) water closet…

Result: a short flush will occur because there’s not enough water for a complete flush
